Frequently Asked Questions

All the answers you are wondering about light steel building technologies, production processes, insulation, licensing, and costs.

Q. What is the lifespan of a steel villa?

The lifespan of light steel building systems is more than 100 years, depending on the corrosion resistance of the galvanized steel used and standard building maintenance. It is much more durable than traditional reinforced concrete structures and resistant to the corrosive effects of time.

Q. How earthquake resistant are steel houses?

Steel houses absorb the shake energy and do not collapse thanks to their flexible building dynamics. They are approximately 10 times lighter than reinforced concrete, which minimizes the earthquake load (lateral load on the building). It is the safest and legal building system in first-degree earthquake zones.

Q. How is heat and sound insulation in light steel villas?

Thanks to insulation materials such as rock wool, XPS or high-density EPS used between wall panels and roof systems, it provides 40% superior heat and sound insulation compared to reinforced concrete. It reduces your energy costs by offering a living space that is cool in summer and warm in winter.

Q. How long does the construction process of steel construction houses take?

Since steel construction is a pre-fabricated system, it is quickly produced in the factory regardless of weather conditions after the architectural project is approved. Depending on the size of the project, it can be completed as a turnkey project between 45 and 60 days on average.

Q. Is it difficult to get a license to build a steel house? Is there a difference from reinforced concrete?

The licensing process in reinforced concrete houses is exactly the same legal procedure in steel houses. Architectural, static, and mechanical projects are prepared with the zoning status certificate to be obtained from the municipality or special provincial administrations. Steel structures have legal and permanent housing status.

Q. What is the difference between a steel villa and a prefab house?

Prefabricated houses are generally structures produced for temporary shelter with interlocking systems made of thin sheet metal and standard panels. Light steel villas, on the other hand, are luxury houses produced with thick galvanized profiles, much more durable, highly insulated, permanent, and allowing completely personalized architectural designs.

Q. What is included in turnkey steel villa prices?

In our turnkey projects, generally; the production and assembly of the steel carcass, roof covering, interior and exterior wall insulations, windows and exterior door, electrical-water installations, interior and exterior painting processes, vitrified products and floor coverings (laminate/tile) are included. Sub-basement (foundation concrete) and kitchen cabinets can be left optional according to non-standard requests.

Q. Can I get a housing loan for steel houses?

Yes, since it is in the status of a permanent house and is subject to a legal license, it complies with the housing loan conditions (expertise approval) of banks. The loan can be used after the necessary licensing stages are completed.
